Nice appearance and proportions for this small low shepherd’s chest. These chests were made in the same way for centuries. They were decorated with traditional magical symbols. This example shows that geometric decoration very well. Reduced to a natural finish. Raw, authentic. From the mountains of Transylvania around the middle of the 19th century. The chest is made of beech wood and assembled with wooden pins.
